the River Valley Ramble October 23rd - October 24th, 2021
An over-nighter North of the Border
As the year draws to a close, join us for a weekend where we slow down and head out of town for a weekend of pedaling, eating, and making new friends! In the process we'll explore the beauty of the Connecticut River Valley and the quaint, quintessentially New England town of Brattleboro.
The weekend's agenda:
Come ride one of the most historic and scenic river valleys in New England.
Join us and Frontier Cycling Tours on a peaceful and scenic ride along the Connecticut River from Northampton to Brattleboro, Vermont.
You will enjoy riding on lightly travelled back roads through farmland and quaint New England towns.
You will also ride a few sections of packed gravel roads as we make our way north along the Connecticut to Brattleboro.
This is a two day ride, with both days just under 50 miles. You will stay in the historic Latchis Theatre and Hotel in downtown Brattleboro, just steps from dining and shopping options. Along the way, we have stops planned for you to have a coffee, a cold local beer or refreshing ice cream cone! You will experience this part of the Pioneer Valley like the locals do, at your own pace.
Leave Northampton at 9:00 am Saturday
Arrive Brattleboro around 3:00pm Saturday
Leave Brattleboro 8:00 am Sunday
Arrive Northampton around 2:00 pm Sunday
This is a ride well suited to cyclists who can manage flat to rolling terrain and ride for 4-5 hours and have some comfort with gravel roads. - A support van will always be within reach in case of maintenance issues or upon rider request.
Due to logistics and reservations, any guest cancellations will be returned at 50% if cancelled within one week of the tour.
Your guide will be in touch prior to the tour to discuss where and when to meet!
