Let's face it, winter in New England can really drag. Fortunately, it's got a few things going for it, one of which is Maple Sugar season. Forget that corn syrupy type stuff; we're talking the real deal straight from Mother Nature.
Maple Syrup. Maple Sugar Candy. Pancakes.
Did we mention the fresh, locally tapped maple syrup?
Welcome to the third annual Sugar Shack Spin, your excuse to fill yourself up with pancakes and maple syrup and feel completely justified about it!
For those of you who have joined us either of the last two years, this year we are switching things up, BIG TIME! For those of you thinking of joining us for the first time, as you can see from the pictures to the right, it's a TON of FUN!
Unlike the previous two years, we're focusing on one great route this year that is shifting north and starting from Artisan Beverage Co-op (makers of Ginger Libation, a range of meads, and Katalyst Kombucha) in Greenfield.
There will be TWO DIFFERENT START TIMES, (9:00am and 11:00am) each limited to 40 riders.
During the ride we'll be visiting the Williams Farm Sugarhouse (which is roughly at the halfway point of the 20 mile route, which will be marked this year) for a delicious breakfast/lunch before returning to ABC, where the tasting room will be open for riders to enjoy a post-ride digestif beverage. As in previous years, we will have a shuttle to bring any purchases you make at the sugarshack back to the start for you to pick up upon your return.
Meal Menu: (included with registration)

Registration Includes: Breakfast or Lunch (depending on start time - see menu above), Maple Untapped energy packets, DRINKmaple water, free 6 month membership to Adventure Cycling Association, on-Route support, and transportation for any purchases you make along the way for pick-up at the finish.
